During the last years voip becomes a real alternative to traditional landlines. The quality is quite good and there are a lot of additional services. I just started using Onesuite because a friend recommended it and I find the quality very good for a voip. I’m keeping my land line and see if the quality is consistent before thinking of cutting my home phone service.

Everybody from small business owners to major corporations and not to mention households worldwide are starting to see the benefits of VoIP. VoIP saves money and cost efficient. Whether you’re using VoIP for your residence or your business, you’ll find it to be a lot cheaper than your normal landline telephone cost, be it short or long distance calls. However, the cost varies from one voip provider to another. Some allow unlimited calls and some charges only a small fee.

Yes VoIP is cheap and very portable. You don’t need to change phone numbers even if you move to another state, heck even another country!

You can also “carry” your phone number with you. You can be at the airport or hotel and still able to receive and make phone calls. When I travel, I always carry an ATA device so I can use my Onesuite VoIP on hotels. I use my laptop with a softphone if ATA connection isn’t possible.

Sooner or later VoIP will conquer the land lines.
