Also for a company using VoIP it can be totally hosted off site, which can add an amount of security in case of fires and such in terms of data loss.

On top of that, you mentioned base reduced call costs but also many other services over VoIP can be cheaper to implement since they don't require physical systems to be set up on site.

I love the concept of VOIP for business. It ties nicely into my vision to balance work and life and work from anywhere in the world.

I have tried various voip services as well as Skype and have had the best service from VYL Media (formerly Voip Your Life).

The key to picking a good provider is in finding a service that offers low downtime and quick service response when issues arise - as they do at times. Vonage failed here. http://www.vylmedia.com/

The only negative issue I face is that VYL does not offer international call forwarding.

I buy local cell phone sim Cards when I travel and forward calls to travel cellphones that include free incoming calls.

I get around this by forwarding calls to a skype account that then routs the calls to an international cell number.

I work as an Internet Strategist and am not affiliated with any of these companies. My company is www.RefreshedIT.com

Feel free to contact me if you need help. Kersten
